Gala wasn’t built in a boardroom—it was born out of late nights, scrappy shoots, and a mutual refusal to settle. Founders Avery Hadley and Amelia Schantz met at Oregon State University, bonded over their love of food, design, and doing things differently, and turned that spark into something real. We didn’t start Gala to chase clout—we started it because we were tired of watching authentic businesses get buried under bland branding and buzzwords.

We’re not here to play it safe. We’re here to tell raw, beautiful stories for restaurants, wineries, and makers who actually give a damn—just like we do. We build content for the next generation, created by that generation. We care more about your chef’s late-night shift drink than your SEO strategy. We’ve thrown pop-ups in basements, launched brands from scratch, and watched clients become ride-or-die collaborators. Gala is Portland-based, Northwest-raised, and dead set on building a creative community that tastes as good as it looks.
